A desire to know truth
Opening the scriptures in quest of an answer
Received: direction, desire, determination
Pondering the question to ask, the place to ask it
Kneeling
Praying out loud
Pouring out the desires of your heart
Persisting despite doubt and darkness
You call on the Lord
Delivered from the enemy
Your name is known and spoken
Your sins are forgiven
You ask
Hear Him
Light and truth are given
Do not deny God’s power
Learn for yourself
Do not fear persecution
God has a work for you to do
You will find the testimony of James to be true—that a man who lacked wisdom might ask of God, and obtain, and not be upbraided.
What truth do you seek? Will you Hear Him?
Early Spring two hundred years ago a 14 year old boy sought truth and was answered. We can seek truth in the same way.
Check in tomorrow for my post about what we might be missing in our study of the Restoration of the Gospel.
